We have been at Plot No. 9 in the Ratan Lal Building for a long time now. Arakshan Road stays pretty busy most days, and the noise from the street usually comes right into our workspace here in Ram Nagar. It is just the way things are. My father started working with stones here and we just kept it going. We spend most of our mornings cleaning the dust off the murtis because the road outside brings in a lot of grit from the traffic. It’s a lot of manual work, honestly. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. Just some rooms filled with statues and tools. People find us because they know the Ratan Lal Building. It's a landmark for some of the locals in this neighborhood. If you walk past, you’ll probably hear the sound of hammers or see some of the staff sitting on the floor working on a piece. Sometimes the tea stall guy from down the street comes by and we take a short break. We don't really do much advertising around here. People just know where we are located. Ram Nagar is a good place to be, even if it gets a bit crowded during the festival seasons. We try to keep things organized but with all the stone and half-finished work, it always looks a bit messy. That's just how a workshop is. We focus on getting the shapes right. It takes time and we don't like to rush things.
