Being located in Chawri Bazar at Office No 848 near Chitla Gate means you are always in the middle of a crowd. It’s one of those places where you can’t really hear yourself think once the market gets going in the morning. We’ve been based here for quite a while, and honestly, the noise just becomes background music after a few months. The office is old, with high ceilings and walls that could probably use a fresh coat of paint if we ever found the time to move the furniture out of the way. We spend most of our time dealing with people who just wander in because they saw the sign. There is no big corporate strategy here; we just sit at our desks and handle the paperwork as it comes. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow because of the old wiring in these buildings, but we make do. It’s a busy life, and by the time five o'clock rolls around, everyone is ready for a break. We usually share some snacks in the afternoon, whatever someone picked up from the street vendors outside. You get used to the smell of spices and old paper hanging in the air. It’s a real place with real history, and we are just happy to have a corner of it for ourselves. No one here wears a suit unless they absolutely have to for a meeting.
