We've been at House No 68 for a while now. It’s right near Kashmiri Gate, specifically in Gali No 1 of Wazirabad. Most days are pretty similar here. We open the shutters early, sweep the front, and get to work on whatever advertising orders came in the day before. The street is usually busy with people walking past to get to the main road. It gets a bit dusty because of all the traffic nearby, but that’s just how Wazirabad is. We spend most of our time dealing with the machines or talking to folks who drop by to ask about banners and signs. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit outside on plastic chairs until it comes back. It isn’t a fancy office or anything like that. Just a regular workplace where we get things done. You can see the gate from the end of the lane. We know most of the people who have shops around here. It’s a tight space with stuff piled up in corners, mostly old rolls and scraps from previous jobs. We try to keep things organized but when it gets busy, that's hard. The tea guy comes by twice a day, which is the highlight for most of us. We just keep our heads down and handle the work that comes through the door. It’s been our spot for years and we’re used to the noise and the pace of the neighborhood. We don't plan on moving anywhere else soon.
