G. L. Singh Jewellers is tucked away at 1720 Gali Piauwali in the Dariba Kalan area. If you’ve ever walked through the narrow lanes of old Delhi, you know exactly how crowded and vibrant it is. Our shop has been in this spot for a very long time. It’s a small space, like most of the shops in Dariba Kalan, but it’s packed with history. We don't have the big glass windows or the bright lights of the modern malls. Instead, we have the old wooden counters and the same familiar atmosphere we’ve had for years. People come to us from all over because they know we’ve been here since their parents’ time. Gali Piauwali is always full of people, and sometimes it’s hard to even walk through the street, but that’s just part of being in this market. Inside the shop, we keep things simple. We spend our days looking at pieces and talking to customers who often become friends. It’s a noisy, busy place but it feels like home to us. We don't have a big marketing budget or a social media team. Our work is what keeps people coming back. We just sit at our counters, handle the items brought to us, and keep the tradition going in our own small way. It’s a lot of manual work and patience, but we enjoy the daily routine of being in the heart of the city.
