We are based at No. 4762/23 right on Ansari Road in Dariya Ganj. It’s a busy part of town and our building is pretty much like the others around here—full of books and people moving things around. We handle a lot of distribution work, so there’s always boxes being taped up or dragged across the floor. It’s a bit of a workout, really. The space is a little tight, especially when a new shipment arrives and we have to find room for everything. You get used to the noise of the street after a while. We aren't some big corporation with a shiny office building. This is more of a hands-on kind of place. Some of us have been working together for years, so we have our own way of doing things that might look a bit messy to an outsider. But we know where everything is, mostly. We don't spend a lot on fancy signs or marketing stuff. We just focus on getting the books to where they need to go. Sometimes the power goes out or the internet is slow, and we just sit around and talk until it comes back. It’s a practical way to live. Dariya Ganj is a tough place to work if you don't like crowds, but it suits us fine. We keep the doors open and just deal with whatever the day brings us.
