Alkamar

Alkamar is our little spot in Baratooti. If you know the area, you know it’s one of those places where everything is moving all at once. We’ve been here for quite some time, tucked into the streets where the shops are all piled on top of each other. It’s a noisy place with the sounds of the market and the people walking by all day long. Our space isn't very large, just enough to store our goods and have a place to sit. We mostly deal with whatever stock we can get our hands on that people in the area need. It’s a bit of an old building, so the walls have some cracks and the floor is a bit uneven, but it’s home to us. We don’t have a website or anything like that; we just open the doors in the morning and see who comes in. Sometimes it’s regular customers who have been coming for years, and sometimes it's just someone lost in Baratooti. We spend a lot of time drinking tea and talking to the other shop owners nearby. It’s a simple way to live. The inventory changes depending on what’s available, so you never really know what you might find on the shelves. We don’t bother with fancy displays or anything. We just put things out and tell people the price. It’s how it’s always been done around here. We’re just plain folks.
