Our little shop is on Gali Number 2 in Shankar Nagar, at house number P 46. It is a tight street, so you have to be careful where you park your bike. We focus on aqua services, which basically means we spend our time fixing pumps and cleaning out water systems for the neighbors. It is a small operation. Most of the time, I am out on calls while my helper stays back to mind the shop. We have got tools scattered all over the workbench and a pile of old pipes in the corner that we might use for scrap. It is a lived-in space. We do not have a sign that lights up or anything like that, just a painted board outside the door. People in Shankar Nagar know where we are if they have a leak or their water smells funny. We do not have a fancy way of doing things. We just show up with our bag of tools and see what is wrong. Sometimes it is an easy fix, and other times we have to spend hours digging around in a tank. We like the neighborhood because everyone knows everyone else. It is not like the big offices in the city where nobody talks. Here, we stop and chat with the neighbors every few feet. It is a good place to run a business and we plan on staying at P 46 for a long time.
