Ashoka Signage

Ashoka Signage is tucked away in Lane No-7 of Mandoli Road. It’s in the Gali Budh Bazar area of Shahdara. If you know the neighborhood, you know it’s a bit of a maze. Our shop is at 4649/166-B. It’s a tight fit in here. We make all sorts of signs for people. There is always the sound of metal being cut or someone hammering something on a bench. It’s a loud place to work. We don't have a fancy showroom. It’s just the workshop where everything happens. We have materials stacked up against the walls and in the corners. Sometimes it’s hard to find a place to sit down for a minute. Being in New Modern Shahdara, it’s always crowded outside. On bazaar days, it’s even crazier with people everywhere. We just keep the lights on and keep working through the orders we have. It’s a lot of manual labor. Our clothes usually have some paint or dust on them by the end of the shift. We don't mind that. It’s honest work. We’ve been in this gali for a long time now. People around here know us as the signage guys. We don't do much advertising ourselves. The work speaks for itself, I guess. It’s a bit dark inside the shop, but we have some good lamps for the detail work. It’s just a regular day-to-day grind in the heart of Shahdara. We like the buzz of the local market.
