Finding us isn't always easy if you aren't used to the narrow lanes of Ajmeri Gate. We are tucked away at 4289 Gali Shahtara in Chandni Chowk. It’s a tight squeeze down here, and the area is always loud with people and rickshaws moving about. Anand Water Supply Co has been operating out of this spot for quite some time. Water is one of those things everyone needs but nobody thinks about until it’s gone. We spend a lot of time coordinating deliveries and making sure the tanks are ready. The humidity in the summer makes the work pretty tough, but we are used to it by now. Our office is small and filled with ledgers and old phones. We know the neighbors and the other shopkeepers around the Gali. Sometimes the traffic makes things take longer than we’d like, but that’s just how it goes in this part of the city. We don't have a website or anything like that; we just answer the phone and get the water where it needs to go. It is a basic business, really. We deal with pipes, tankers, and lots of scheduling. It gets dusty, and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we are too busy to worry about that. People know where to find us when they need a supply. We just keep moving and doing the work every day, through the heat and the crowds.
