Amar Nath Jagdish Rai & Company is located right in the middle of Sadar Bazar at Shop No. 45. If you know Khurshid Market, you know how packed it gets every single day. We are right near the Crockery Market area, so there’s always a lot of noise and people moving carts around. Our shop isn't very big, but we pack a lot of stuff inside. It's a family thing, really. We’ve been here in this spot for years, dealing with all kinds of customers coming from different parts of the city. Sometimes it’s hard to even walk in the lane because of all the delivery guys. We handle a lot of wholesale stuff, so there are always bundles and crates sitting around. It can get dusty and loud, but that’s just how Sadar Bazar is. We don’t have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s just shelves filled with stock and a desk where we handle the bills. Most of our day is spent answering questions and checking the inventory to see what’s running low. The tea stall nearby brings us tea twice a day, which helps when things get hectic. We know the other shopkeepers around here well. Everyone helps each other out when there’s a problem with a delivery or something. It’s a tight space, but we make it work. Most days we are just busy counting items and loading up bags for the regulars.
