Our setup for Sunbiosmith Pharmaceuticals is in Balawala, Dehradun. We work out of Susheel Sharma’s house in Calcutta Mohalla. It is a quiet, residential neighborhood, which is a nice change from the busy city center. Working from a house makes the whole thing feel much more relaxed. We have our desks set up in a couple of the rooms and the garage area is used for storage. You can hear the neighborhood sounds, like kids playing or people talking in the street, while we work. Dehradun is known for its weather, and it is usually quite pleasant here in Balawala. We have a small team of people who live nearby, so we all know each other well. We handle all the pharmaceutical paperwork and logistics from this spot. It is not a fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. It is just a home where we do our business. We often have tea together in the kitchen and talk about things other than work. It is a very simple and honest way to run a company. The address can be a little hard to find if you are not from around here, but once you get to Calcutta Mohalla, anyone can point you to the house.
