Space I Design

The office for Space I Design is located at 285 Vasant Vihar Phase I. It’s a nice, residential area, so it feels more like a home than a corporate workplace. We like it that way because it stays quiet and we can actually hear ourselves think. Most days, we arrive and get the computer started while the morning sun hits the front porch. The office is basically a few rooms filled with books on architecture and a lot of samples of tiles and wood. We spend a lot of time debating over small details that most people probably wouldn't even notice. There isn't a huge sign outside, just a small one that lets people know they've found the right house. Vasant Vihar is a pleasant place to walk around when we need a break from the screens. We often have clients come over and sit at the kitchen table to look at plans because it feels more natural than a cold meeting room. Sometimes the neighbors’ dogs bark during our calls, but that’s just part of being in this neighborhood. We don’t have a fancy dress code or anything like that. We just wear what’s comfortable and get to work on the designs. It’s a small operation, and we like keeping it that way so we can stay involved in every single drawing. The Phase I area is familiar to us, and we’ve grown quite fond of this specific corner.
