Sayaik Organic (Opc) Private Limited

Sayaik Organic is located up in the hills around Chakrata and Tuni, specifically in the Barnad area of Vikas Nagar. It is a beautiful part of the country to live in, but I will be honest, the terrain is really tough to work with every day. Ajub Singh started this whole thing because there is so much good land up here that has not been ruined by chemicals yet. We work with the local soil and whatever weather the mountains decide to give us. It is mostly organic farming work, which basically means a lot of manual labor for the few of us here. We do not use the big machines you see on the flat farms in the plains because they would never even fit on our steep slopes. A lot of our time is spent just tending to the crops and making sure the water is actually reaching where it needs to go. We are a small operation, just a few local guys really. It is quiet out here, which is nice, but it also means we have to be self-reliant. If a tool breaks, we usually have to figure out how to fix it ourselves. We are not doing this to get famous or anything; we just want to grow healthy stuff and make a living from the land we have. The winters get quite cold and the roads to Tuni are often hard to travel.
