We operate Namtee Construction Llp out of the Guru Kripa Complex on the main road in Vikasnagar. It is a busy area with people coming and going from the shops all day long. Having an office right on the main road means we see everything that happens in town. It’s a loud place, but it keeps us energized. We don’t have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy slogans for us. We just focus on the construction work we have at hand. Some mornings the traffic is so bad it takes forever just to get the equipment out to the site. But we’ve lived in Vikasnagar long enough to know the shortcuts. Our office is a bit cluttered with blueprints and samples of tiles and bricks. It’s a working office, not a showroom. We talk to people plainly and tell them what’s possible and what isn't. There’s no corporate talk here. We just discuss the costs and the timelines over a hot cup of chai. Sometimes we stay late when a deadline is coming up, and you can see the lights on in the complex from the street. We take pride in the fact that we are local people working for other local people. We don't need much more than a steady supply of work and a good crew to keep us happy. It’s honest labor and we're glad to be doing it.
