My Wife

This is a bit of a funny name for a place, but we went with it anyway because it stays in your head. We are located at No. 69 in the Luxmi Chamber on Rajpur Road. Being right in the middle of Dehradun City means we see all sorts of people walking by from morning till night. The building is one of those older ones that everyone in the neighborhood knows. We don't try to be too modern with the furniture or the decor. It’s mostly just tables and chairs where you can sit and have a meal without anyone bothering you. Rajpur Road is always moving, but inside our doors, it’s a bit slower and calmer. We spend our mornings checking the local market for what’s fresh before the lunch crowd shows up. We aren't trying to win any fancy prizes; we just want to cook food that fills you up. Sometimes the service is a bit slow when the weekend rush hits us all at once, but we do what we can to keep up. The kitchen is small but we keep it busy every single day. Most people find us because they’re already in Dehradun for work or shopping at the nearby markets. It’s a simple setup in a good part of town. We’ve been here long enough that the creaks in the floor don't bother us anymore. It’s just a regular local business run by people.
