Vacation Unusual

Our little office for Vacation Unusual is tucked away on Sirmour Marg in Kishan Nagar. It’s a relatively quiet street, which is nice when we’re trying to concentrate on some of the more complicated trips we put together. We don’t do the usual tourist stuff you see everywhere else. If someone wants a typical resort, they usually go somewhere else. We spend our time looking for the smaller guesthouses and the trails that aren’t on every map. The office has maps pinned everywhere, some with notes scribbled in the margins from our own travels. We drink a lot of chai and talk about places we’d like to go if we weren’t stuck at our desks. Kishan Nagar is a decent area, though the parking on Sirmour Marg can be a bit of a challenge if you come at the wrong time. We started this business because we wanted to see something different, and we figured other people might want that too. It’s not always easy to find these odd spots, and sometimes the bookings take a lot of back-and-forth communication. We don’t have a big marketing budget or a flashy sign outside. Most of our work comes from people who have gone on a trip with us before and told their friends. It’s a slow and steady way to run things, and it keeps us busy enough.
