Kalra Communication

Down here in Doiwala, we have Kalra Communication. We are in Ward No.13, right on Hansuwala Road. The biggest landmark is the Sugar Mill. You can usually tell when you are getting close because of the smell from the mill, especially during the crushing season. It is a very local vibe here. Our shop is where we handle mobile recharges, some phone repairs, and selling basic accessories. We have a lot of regular customers who live in the surrounding villages. They stop by when they come into town for market day. The road outside can get very dusty when the trucks go by, so we have to wipe down the glass counters every hour. It feels like a never-ending job. We have a couple of plastic stools for people to sit on while they wait for their phones to be fixed. We aren't always the fastest because sometimes we have to wait for parts to come from Dehradun. People don't seem to mind much as long as the job is done right. My father started this place, and I took over a few years ago. We still use the same old wooden desk he had. It’s got a lot of scratches, but it works fine. We don't have any big signs or bright lights. Just a simple place for people to get their communication stuff sorted out without any fuss. It gets quiet in the evenings.
