Agarwal Rishipal

You’ll find us about 7 kilometers out on Dehradun Road. We are based in the village of Sarak Doodhlee, right near the post office. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city, but we like it out here because it’s quieter and there is more room to breathe. Agarwal Rishipal has been operating from this same spot for a long time. The road gets busy with people heading toward Dehradun, but our turn-off is easy to miss if you're driving too fast. We spend a lot of time outside since the office is small. The air is a bit fresher here than it is in the middle of town. Sometimes the mail takes a day longer to get here, but the postman knows us well and always stops for a chat. We usually start the day early, before the sun gets too high. There’s a lot of walking back and forth between the storage area and the front. It’s a simple setup we have. We don't have any big signs or anything fancy. People who need us usually know exactly where to go. We deal with whatever comes our way that day. Sometimes it's very busy, and other times we just sit and wait for the trucks to arrive. It’s a family-run kind of thing. My uncle started it, and now we just keep it going. Sarak Doodhlee is a small place, so we just try to do the work that needs doing.
