Sharavathi Higher Primary School

If you walk down the 4th Cross in Hosamane, you will find our place. It is the Sharavathi Higher Primary School, right there in the compound. It is a pretty normal spot in Shimoga. We spend our days here with the kids running around during the breaks. The building has been here for a bit, and it shows its age in some spots, but it does what it needs to do. Most of the staff live nearby, so we just walk or take a quick ride to get here. It is not some big fancy institution you see in the city magazines. It is just classrooms, some old wooden desks, and a lot of noise when the bell rings. The compound is where everything happens, from morning assembly to the games in the afternoon. We have some trees that give a bit of shade when the sun gets too hot. People in the neighborhood know us well. They see the children coming and going every morning with their bags. It is a simple routine that has not changed much over the years. We keep the gates open during the day and there is always someone around the office if you need to ask a question. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint soon, but for now, they are covered with some charts and student work. It is just a regular school life here in this part of town.
