Sapthagiri Ceramics & Pipes

We are situated on Hadadi Road, right across from the J.S. Auto Scan place in Davangere. Sapthagiri Ceramics & Pipes has been our main focus for a long time now. The shop is basically a long room filled with stacks of pipes and crates of ceramic tiles that arrive from the factories. It gets pretty loud when the tiles are being unloaded because the guys have to be careful not to break anything. I usually stand by the entrance and check the numbers against the delivery notes. Davangere can get quite warm, so we have a few old fans that make a lot of noise but don't do much else. Customers come in with their measurements written on scraps of paper, and I spend time helping them figure out how many boxes they actually need. The floor of the shop is covered in bits of cardboard and plastic wrap most of the time. Sometimes the neighbors from the auto scan shop come over for a chat when things are slow. We don't really do any big promotions or anything like that. People just know we are here on Hadadi Road if they need something for their bathroom or a new water line. It's a lot of manual labor, moving the heavy pipes around, but it keeps us in shape. I write out the bills by hand in a big ledger book at the end of every day, making sure we haven't missed anything important.
