Dhanush Granites

Down here on 2nd Main Road, things stay pretty active. Dhanush Granites is located right in the Prince Jayachamaraja area, Wodeyar. It is a place where we spend most of our hours surrounded by heavy slabs of granite. Granite is heavy stuff, so we are always careful when moving it around the yard. We get all kinds of people stopping by. Some are just looking, others know exactly what they want for their new floors. We do not do much advertising; mostly people just see us when they are passing through the neighborhood. The yard is filled with different colors of stone. Some look dark and solid, others have lots of little flecks in them. We spend time cleaning the slabs so the colors show up better under the sun. It is physical work, and our hands are usually a bit rough from handling the edges. We do not have a big staff, just a few of us making sure everything is where it should be. When a customer comes in, we just walk them through the rows. There is no rush at all. Picking stone takes time because you have to live with it for years once it is installed. We understand that. We just stay focused on the inventory and helping people get what they need for their buildings. It is a simple way to make a living, and we have gotten used to the rhythm of the street.
