Shantai Bricks

Shantai Bricks is located over at Camp Post in Vasanth Nagar. It’s a nice enough spot, though it gets a bit crowded during the day when everyone is out and about. We have our yard set up here and it’s where I spend almost all my time. The address is pretty straightforward, right in the Vasanth Nagar area. We see a lot of the same faces every day, which is one of the nice things about being in a place like this. The work is steady and keeps us busy. I usually get here before the sun is fully up to get a head start on the day’s tasks. There is a lot of moving things from one side of the yard to the other. We don't really have a big staff, just a few of us making sure everything is where it needs to be. The ground stays dusty, and I’ve given up on trying to keep my clothes clean. It’s just part of the job. People in the neighborhood know us as the brick place by the Camp Post. It’s not a corporate environment at all. We just sit on plastic chairs under the awning when we need a break from the sun. The weather can be a bit unpredictable, so we are always watching the sky. If it looks like rain, we have to move fast to cover things up. It’s a practical way to live, focusing on the work at hand.
