This branch of Ultra Tech Cement Ltd is run out of an office in Hakimpara, Siliguri. You can find us at Shivalaya II, Flat No. 6 on the first floor. It’s at 18 Swamiji Sarani, which is a fairly busy residential and commercial area. Atanu Banerjee handles the operations here, mostly looking after the paperwork and coordination for the region. Since we are on the first floor, it’s not like a big warehouse where you see trucks coming in and out all day. Instead, it’s more of a hub for managing the logistics and sales side of the cement business. Siliguri is a gateway for a lot of trade, so things move fast around here. The office is small and keeps things quiet compared to the noise of the main road. We don't have a lot of staff, just a few people sitting at desks making calls and organizing the delivery schedules. It feels more like a local home-based office than a big corporate center. We’ve been in this building for some time now and the locals know the Swamiji Sarani address well. Dealing with construction materials in North Bengal means we have to stay on top of the local market trends. We just focus on getting the orders right and making sure the distribution network stays connected throughout the area.
