Pathargata is a bit of a drive out if you are coming from the main part of Siliguri, but it is where we are. We are located on Khaparil Road in Matigara. It is a quieter spot compared to the city center, which helps when you are trying to study. This place is not like a regular primary school. Since it is about Ayurved and continuing education, the people here are usually a bit older and more serious. We have rooms filled with various charts and books on the shelves that look like they have been handled quite a bit. The desks are simple wooden ones. Sometimes the fans in the ceiling make a clicking noise that we have just gotten used to over the years. We spend the day going over old texts and discussing different methods. It is a very practical kind of environment. Outside, you can see the trees and a bit of the open road. It does not have that frantic feel of the malls or the main markets. People come here to learn something specific and then they go about their business. We do not have a big reception desk or anyone to greet you with a smile and a brochure. You just walk in, find your room, and start your work. It is a plain building with a specific purpose, and we have been operating out of Matigara like this for some time now without much fuss.
