You can find us at No. 15 Sonam Wangdi Road. We run Kamakhaya Tours and help people get around Darjeeling. Transport is the main thing we do. We have a few vehicles and we spend our days coordinating trips up and down the hills. The roads here are tricky, as anyone who has been to Darjeeling knows. We spend a lot of time making sure the drivers are ready and the cars are running okay. It’s a busy job, especially during the tourist season when everyone wants to see the sunrise or get to the tea gardens. Our office is pretty basic. It’s mostly just a place to park the cars and take bookings. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult and we have to change plans at the last minute. That’s just how it goes in the mountains. We don’t have a fancy waiting room or anything. It’s more of a functional spot. We’ve been operating from this road for quite a while now. Most people find us through word of mouth or by just walking past. We aren't a huge travel agency with a call center. It’s just us and the drivers. We try to keep the vehicles clean, but the mountain dust is always a problem. If you need a ride, you just come by and we see what’s available. The tea here is good while you wait for your driver. Usually, we're here until late in the evening.
