Down in Siliguri Bazar, things move at a very fast pace. Our place, Navbharat Tea Processing Pvt. Ltd., is located on Mangturam Road, right in the middle of all the wholesale action. The air around here usually has a bit of tea dust in it, which you get used to after a few days. It is a noisy, dusty, and very busy street. We spend most of our time in the processing area or the warehouse, making sure the sacks are stacked right and the quality is what it should be. The district of Darjeeling is famous for this, but the actual work in the bazar is far from the quiet hills. It’s about trucks, laborers, and long hours. Our building isn't anything special to look at, just a functional place with thick walls and heavy doors. We don't spend money on fancy furniture because it would just get covered in dust anyway. We prefer to focus on the machinery and the leaves. Every morning starts with a lot of noise as the market wakes up. We stay until the last truck is loaded and the gates are locked. It’s a tough environment, but the people who work here are good, hardworking folks from the local area. We’ve been on Mangturam Road for a long time, and we know everyone on the block. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s ours, and we take it one day at a time.
