The Gourmet Central

We are up on the 3rd floor of the City Centre Mall in Matigara, Siliguri. Being in a mall means we see a lot of different people, from families out for the weekend to teenagers hanging out. We took this spot at E 0301 because it’s a good central location for folks living in the Siliguri area. It’s quite a bit of work keeping up with the mall hours, but we’ve got a routine down now. We don't have any fancy mission statements or anything like that. We just open up in the morning, prep the food, and start serving whoever walks in. The space is modern enough since it’s in a newer mall, but we try to keep it feeling comfortable rather than cold and corporate. Sometimes the lunch rush gets a bit hectic and there might be a wait for a table, but we do what we can to keep things moving. We source most of what we need from the local markets around Matigara when we can. The staff here are just regular people from the neighborhood who know how to work hard. We don't spend money on big ads; we mostly just rely on people seeing us while they’re out shopping or going to the movies. It’s a straightforward way to run a business. We like being part of the noise and energy of the mall. It keeps us on our toes every single day.
