Even though the name says Trivandrum, this specific office for the Centre For Development Of Advanced Computing is actually located way up in Siliguri. We are based in Sontosh Villa, which is in the Aurobinda Pally neighborhood. It’s a nice spot near the post office on Rabindra Sarani. Siliguri is a busy town in the Darjeeling district, and our office sits in a residential-style building called a villa. It doesn't look like a typical tech office from the outside. Inside, the rooms are filled with desks and computers where our team works on various projects. The atmosphere is quite relaxed, and we often have tea from the local gardens while we work. The humidity can be quite something during the monsoon season, and you can hear the rain hitting the roof of the villa. Being in Aurobinda Pally means we are close to everything but still tucked away from the main road noise. People come in and out through the day, and we know the local shopkeepers nearby. It’s a very human way to work on advanced technology. We don't have any corporate protocols that get in the way of just doing our jobs. Most of us have been here for a long time, and we've gotten used to the rhythm of life in this part of West Bengal. It’s just a plain, honest workspace for the people here.
