Aashirwad Online Centre

I started Aashirwad Online Centre here in South Santingr because people in our part of Bhaktinagar were traveling too far just to print a document or fill out a form. We are tucked away in Javravita, right in the Dabgram- 2 area of Jalpaiguri district. It is not a huge place, just a simple room with a couple of computers and a printer that sometimes makes a lot of noise. People come in for all sorts of things, like applying for their cards, checking exam results, or just getting a photocopy. Some days it is very quiet and I just sit here watching the street, but other times, especially when a new government scheme comes out, the line goes out the door. My nephew helps me when it gets busy like that. We try to be helpful to everyone who walks in, even if they do not really know how the online stuff works. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just have to wait it out with the customers. It is just part of living in this district. We keep some basic pens and folders for sale too, since people always forget them. It is a humble setup but it serves the local community well enough. We are usually here from morning until late evening. If you are near the Bhaktinagar side, you can find us easily enough. It is just a local shop run by local people who understand the area and the needs of the neighbors.
