Raj Sheet Metal Engg. Works

You can find Raj Sheet Metal Engg. Works down at Shed No. 18-13 in Block B of the Modern Industrial Estate. We’re situated along Zari Causeway Road in Kachigam. It’s a bit of a drive to get out here, but this is where all the industrial stuff happens. The shed is quite large, but we’ve filled it up with sheet metal and big cutting machines over the years. It’s a noisy place to work because of all the banging and clanging on the metal sheets. We spend our time bending, cutting, and shaping pieces of steel and aluminum. Kachigam can be a bit quiet in the evenings, but during the day, this whole estate is full of life. We usually have a few different jobs going at once, so the floor is often covered in scraps and offcuts that need to be cleared away. It’s hard work on the back sometimes, lifting those heavy sheets onto the tables. We don’t really have a fancy showroom or anything. We just have our workspace and our tools. Most of the people working here have lived in the area for a long time, so we all know each other well. We just keep our heads down and try to get through the pile of work on the desk. It’s a straightforward business, really. We make things out of metal and that's about it.
