Ashok Steel Traders

We are located in Godhra, specifically on the Ankleshwar Mahadev Road. Our yard is tucked away right behind the B. N. Chambers and we are very close to the main bus stand. It is a very busy area with the sound of bus horns and people shouting throughout the day. We are steel traders, so our life revolves around heavy metal. Trucks arrive with big loads and we have to unload them and stack everything in the yard. It involves a lot of lifting and moving things around by hand. We deal in all kinds of steel sections and plates that people use for construction. The ground is dusty and your clothes get dirty almost immediately when you start work. We have a tiny office where we handle the paperwork and talk to the people who come in. It is a simple place with just a few chairs and a desk. Most of the local builders and contractors know us because we have been here for a long time. We don't use a lot of technology for our business. We still do most of our calculations and record-keeping on paper. It feels more direct that way. The heat in Godhra can be really intense during the summer months, so we take breaks in the shade when we can. We just try to provide the materials that people need without making things complicated. It is just regular work for us.
