You can find us at A. D. Market in the Badambadi area. We are tucked behind Hotel Bishal, which is a good thing because it helps people find the turn-off. Badambadi is always a hive of activity, and the market itself is no different. There’s a lot of shouting and moving around outside, but inside Seam & Trim, we try to keep things moving in a steady way. It’s a fashion business, but it looks more like a busy workshop than a runway. There are threads everywhere and the sewing machines have a constant hum that you eventually stop noticing. We’ve been in this spot long enough to know all the other shop owners around us. Sometimes we share a quick tea in the afternoon when things settle down. The space isn’t very large, so we have to be careful about where we stack the boxes. If you come by, you might see us scrambling to find a specific pattern or checking a shipment that just came in. It’s a bit messy at times, honestly. We don’t have a receptionist or anything; usually, whoever is closest to the door will just look up and help you out. It’s just a group of people working hard and trying to keep up with the orders that come through the door every week. The commute to Badambadi can be a bit of a headache with the traffic, but we’ve made this place work for us.
