NSM Clothings is right in the middle of things at Chandini Chowk in Cuttack. Our address is Plot no-2321/5260 on Stony Road. If you know the area, you know how busy it gets with all the shops and the people moving around. We’ve got this spot where we handle all our clothing work. It’s a practical setup with long tables for cutting the fabric and racks for the finished pieces. The road outside can get pretty loud with the rickshaws and the motorbikes, but we’re used to it by now. Inside, we’re usually busy measuring out material or checking the stitching. We don’t have a big fancy showroom; it’s more of a production space where the real work happens. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time getting down the road, so we end up carrying boxes ourselves to the main corner. It keeps us active, I guess. We keep a simple schedule and try to get through our list of tasks every day. Most of our time is spent just making sure the sizes are right and the colors match what was ordered. There’s always a lot of lint and thread on the floor by the time evening rolls around. We just sweep it up and get ready to do it all again the next morning. It’s a steady rhythm that works for us and our small team here.
