Maa Sidheswari Paints & Hardware

We’ve been here in Ward No. 38 for quite a while now. Most people around Post Jagatpur know where the shop is, right there on Irrigation Bombay Road. It gets pretty dusty out there with all the trucks passing by, but we keep the doors open anyway. We started this place because people needed a spot nearby to grab a bucket of paint or some basic tools without traveling too far into the city center. It’s just me and a couple of others most days. We spend a lot of time moving heavy tins around and making sure the shelves aren't empty. Sometimes the inventory gets a bit messy, but we know where everything is kept. If someone comes in looking for a specific bolt or a shade of blue, we usually find it eventually. It’s not a fancy showroom or anything like that. Just a regular hardware store with concrete floors and stacks of pipes in the corner. We get the local builders coming in early, and then it’s mostly homeowners during the afternoon. The tea stall next door keeps us going. It’s a busy road, so there’s always noise from the traffic outside. We don’t really do big advertisements. Most people just see the sign when they're driving past or hear about us from a neighbor. We try to keep things simple and just get through the daily list of chores. It’s hard work, especially when the weather gets hot, but it's what we do here.
