Kar Kitchens

You can find Kar Kitchens over at the S.S. Market Complex in Madhupatna. We are in unit C-33. The complex is always full of people and different shops, so it’s a lively place to be every day. Our space isn't huge, so we have to be careful about how we stack things. There’s barely enough room for three people to stand comfortably if we have a lot of stuff on the floor. We spend our time checking through orders and making sure the displays aren't too messy. The lighting in the market isn't always the brightest, so we have a couple of extra bulbs we put in ourselves. It gets a bit stuffy in the afternoons when the crowd picks up, but we have a fan that helps a little. We’ve been at this spot on Link Road for a while now. Most of the other shop owners around here are friends, and we often share a tea in the mornings before things get too busy. We aren't running a giant operation, just a small shop where we try to keep things organized. It’s a lot of manual work, moving boxes and talking to people who wander in from the market. We just take things as they come and try to get the work done before the market closes for the night. Sometimes we stay a little later if the deliveries are late and we need to lock up safely.
