Bansal Steels

Bansal Steels is located in Nuapada, right within the Industrial Estate of the district. Being in an industrial estate means we are surrounded by other workshops and factories, so the sound of hammers and engines is basically our background music all day long. We have a large open area where we keep the steel, and a small shed that serves as our office. It gets quite hot in the summer under the tin roof, but we have a couple of fans that keep the air moving. We aren't the type of place that has a receptionist or a waiting room. If someone comes by, they usually just find us in the yard or sitting by the desk checking the ledger. We’ve been part of the Nuapada business community for a while and we know most of our neighbors. The roads around the estate are a bit rough, especially after the rain, so getting the heavy trucks in and out can be a bit of a challenge sometimes. We don't use any fancy software or complicated systems to track things. We mostly rely on our notebooks and our memory. It’s a very manual process, moving the steel bars and plates around by hand or with the small crane we have. We just take things one day at a time and try to stay on top of the work. It’s a simple, hardworking life here in the district and we wouldn't have it any other way.
