Geeta Fashions

Geeta Fashions is located in the Netaji Subash Chandra Bose Arcade. It’s on Jailroad in the Dargha Bazar part of Cuttack. We are quite near the Big Dargha, so that’s the easiest way to tell people where to go. Cuttack has these narrow streets and old buildings that give everything a certain feel. Our shop in the arcade is small but it serves the purpose. We deal with clothes and fashion items every day, but it’s mostly just us handling the stock and talking to people who wander in from the bazaar. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy to worry about that. There’s a specific smell of new fabric that always hangs in the air here. We keep a ledger on the desk to track everything, and it’s getting a bit worn at the edges. During the festivals, Dargha Bazar gets incredibly crowded, and we can barely see the street from our door. It’s a lot of work keeping everything organized when the deliveries come in all at once. We don't have a big marketing team or anything; it’s just the family and a couple of helpers making sure the shelves stay full. Sometimes we make mistakes with the filing, but we fix them eventually. It’s just a regular local business trying to stay afloat and serve the folks who live nearby or come to the arcade for their shopping.
