Dm Grocery House

Dm Grocery House sits right at the Nalco Nagar Chhak, right along NH-55. We are very close to the Jagannath Lodge, so we get a lot of people staying there who pop in for a snack or some soap. Being on the national highway means there is a constant roar of trucks passing by, which you eventually stop noticing after a few months. The shop is full of everything you’d expect—sacks of rice, lentils, oil, and all the small household items. We try to keep things organized, but when a big delivery comes in, the aisles get blocked with boxes for a few hours. It’s just me and a helper most of the time. We don't have any fancy marketing or a website to show off. The shop is just a practical place for the people living in Nalco Nagar to get their daily supplies without having to travel too far. Sometimes the rain leaks in a little near the front door, so we have to keep an eye on that. We open up early and usually close quite late because the highway never really sleeps. It’s a busy life, but we like being right in the middle of things at the Chhak. We’ve become a bit of a landmark for people giving directions to the lodge. It’s just a regular grocery store, nothing more and nothing less.
