Divya Tiles & Pavers

We are down here in Kalyani Nagar, specifically on Maruti Marg near the Rajendra Nagar area. It is a bit of a busy spot in Nuapada, and Divya Tiles & Pavers has been in this corner for a good while now. If you walk past Madhupatna, you probably know where we are located. The shop isn't anything fancy, just a lot of stacks of pavers and different tiles piled up in the yard. We spend most of our mornings moving things around so people can see the different patterns and colors available. Sometimes the dust from the road gets on everything, so we have to wipe down the display pieces pretty often. It is hard work lifting these things, especially the heavy outdoor pavers, but we just get on with it. My cousin helps out sometimes when things get really busy and the trucks arrive. We have a small desk in the back where we keep the ledger and the receipts. Most of the people who come in are neighbors or people building small houses nearby. They usually bring their own measurements on a scrap of paper. We try to keep enough stock so they have choices, but space is a bit tight here. The trucks come and go all day, and it can get quite loud with the traffic outside. We don't have a big fancy sign, just the name on the front. It’s mostly just us doing what we do every day.
