B. Verma & Sons

We are located on the Bhanapur Gopalpurcuttack Road. It’s a family-run thing, which is why the name is B. Verma & Sons. We’ve been working together here for quite a while now. The road outside is always busy with people traveling between Cuttack and the surrounding villages. Our building is a simple one, right on the edge of the road in Gopalpur. We don’t have any fancy signs or neon lights. We just do our work and talk to the people who stop in. It’s mostly trade-related stuff, the kind of things that have kept the family going for two generations. My sons are involved now, helping with the lifting and the books. We don't have a big corporate strategy or anything like that. We just try to be fair and do what we said we would do. The office is small and usually has a few tea cups sitting around. It gets a bit dusty from the road, but we don't mind much because we are used to it. We’ve seen the area change over the years, with more buildings going up, but we’ve stayed right here. It’s a practical way to live. We aren't looking to expand into some huge company. We just want to keep the shop running and serve the folks who come by. It’s a lot of long hours, but it’s our own thing and we take pride in the work we do.
