Khan Watch Company

Khan Watch Company is situated in the Barapathar area of Buxi Bazaar. We are very close to the post office, which is convenient for a lot of our regulars who drop off their watches while they are out doing their errands. Buxi Bazaar is always full of life, and our shop is right in the middle of all that activity. We’ve been at this location for a while now, and the shop has a certain smell of old metal and oil that you only find in places like this. It’s a small space, mostly taken up by the display cases and the small stools we sit on to do the repairs. We work with all kinds of watches, from the old mechanical ones that belong to grandfathers to the newer battery-operated ones. It takes a steady hand and a bit of patience, especially when the parts are tiny. Sometimes I have to use a magnifying glass for hours just to find what's wrong with a spring or a gear. The post office nearby means there is a constant stream of people passing by our window. We see the same faces every day. It’s nice to be part of the community here in Buxi Bazaar. We don't have any flashy signs or anything. Just the name on the front and a lot of clocks ticking on the walls. It can get a bit noisy with all those chimes going off at once, but you get used to it after a week or two. We just do the work.
