Anjali Agrilife Private Limited is run out of Kusupur, which is part of the Mahanga sub-district. Umasankar Sahoo is the one who keeps things moving at our location. We are right in the heart of the village, so there is always someone passing by or stopping in to say hello. Working in the agri-life business means you have to stay close to the ground. We don't have a lot of interest in corporate talk or sitting in air-conditioned rooms all day. Most of the time, we are out checking on things or talking to the suppliers. The office in Kusupur is where we keep all the books and take care of the legal stuff that comes with being a private limited company. It can be a bit of a headache sometimes, but we get through it. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in Odisha, just a reliable one for the people around here. The building isn't anything special to look at, but it serves its purpose for us. We drink a lot of tea and spend a lot of time discussing the market prices. It is a small team and we all have to do a bit of everything, from sweeping the floor to signing the big papers. We like being part of the community in Mahanga and helping out where we can. It’s just a normal business run by normal people who know a thing or two about farming.
