We’re located in Cuttack, specifically in the Nayabazar and Telisahi area. Dushmanta Mohapatra is the one who handles things here. We called the company 8Ours Agritech. Don’t let the "agritech" part fool you into thinking we’re some big tech firm with robots. We’re just trying to use some better tools and methods for our farming around Orissa. Cuttack Sadar is where we do most of our work. It’s a busy place with a lot of history. We spend a lot of time talking to local farmers about what they need. Sometimes it’s better seeds, or maybe just a better way to track their spending. We keep our operation pretty simple. Our office is tucked away in Telisahi. It’s not very big, just enough space for a couple of desks and some chairs for when people come to visit. We deal with a lot of paperwork because of the status of the company, which can be a real pain. But it helps us stay official. We aren't trying to be the next big thing. We just want to help the farmers around here get more out of their land. It’s a lot of trial and error. Some things work and some don’t. We just try to be honest about it. Most of the time we’re just regular folks trying to make things a little easier for the people growing our food. It's a lot of back and forth between the office and the farms.
