Thai Supermarket

We set up this shop right on Kallakuruchi Main Road because it’s where everyone passes through anyway. It’s not a huge place, just a regular supermarket with the stuff people need every day. Achampatti stays pretty busy during the mornings when folks are out getting their vegetables and snacks. We spend a lot of time just unpacking boxes and making sure the shelves aren't empty. It gets tiring standing on the tiled floor all day, but you get used to it after a few years. Sometimes we run out of something popular and have to tell people to come back Tuesday. The lights inside are a bit bright, but they help see everything in the back aisles. We have a small counter near the front door where we sit when things get quiet in the afternoon. Usually, it's just neighbors stopping by for a chat or kids looking for something sweet after school. It’s a simple living. We don't have any fancy displays, just rows of items we think folks around here want. The door stays open most of the day to let a breeze in, even if it brings a bit of dust from the road. We’re just here from morning until late evening, six days a week. The floor needs a good sweep every couple of hours because of the foot traffic. It is a bit cramped when the delivery guys bring in the crates of milk and eggs.
