Rk Vasantham Traders

We are located on Panimayamatha Street, right in the middle of Mela Puthu Theru. It’s a busy little street where everyone knows each other. Rk Vasantham Traders is a simple operation. We deal with various goods and spend most of our time loading and unloading bags and boxes. The front of the shop is always a bit cluttered because space is tight. I usually sit on a plastic chair near the door so I can see who’s coming and going. We don’t have a big sign or anything flashy. People just know us by the name and the location. The ceiling fan wobbles a bit and makes a clicking sound, but it keeps the air moving. Every day follows a similar pattern: open up, sweep the front, check the stock, and talk to the delivery drivers. We handle a lot of paperwork, mostly handwritten bills that pile up on the desk. Sometimes the street gets blocked by a cart or a truck, and there’s a lot of shouting, but that’s just how things are here. We aren't trying to change the world; we’re just here to trade and make a living. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but there’s a certain rhythm to it that I like. We take our tea breaks seriously and usually close up for a bit in the late afternoon when the sun is at its worst. It's been our spot for years and we've gotten used to the noise.
