Hotel Sri Balakrishnaa

We’ve been at No.6 ECR Road for quite some time now, right in the heart of Cuddalore Old Town. Most people recognize us because we're situated right next to Mangai Mahal, which is always busy with some event or another. Being on the Imperial Road means there’s always a bit of noise from the traffic, but that’s just how things are around here. It’s a straightforward place to stay if you’re traveling through this part of Tamil Nadu. We don't have those big flashy lobbies you see in movies, just a desk and some rooms that we try to keep tidy. Sometimes the humidity gets to the building, so we spend a lot of time painting and fixing things up. The staff here are mostly local guys who know the streets well. If you need to find a specific shop or a place to eat nearby, they can usually point you in the right direction. We get a lot of families who are in town for weddings or people doing business in the old town area. It’s not a complicated operation. We just open up early in the morning, make sure the water is running right, and wait for people to check in. It gets really bright out on the ECR during the day, so it’s nice to have a spot to sit out of the sun. We’ve seen the town change over the years, but our spot stays pretty much the same.
