Himalaya Exports Imports is out at No. 165/1- E on Kannyakoil Street. We are in the Sipcot- Post area, which is pretty much what you would expect from an industrial zone. It’s a lot of trucks and heavy vehicles moving around all the time. Our building at 165/1- E is a bit plain, but it serves its purpose for the work we do. The dust from the road tends to settle on everything if we leave the windows open too long. Kannyakoil Street isn't exactly a place people go for a stroll, but it’s where we’ve set up shop. The post office is nearby, which is handy for us. We spend most of the day dealing with boxes and manifests. It’s not glamorous work, and the office reflects that. We’ve got some sturdy tables and some old filing cabinets that have seen better years. The fan on the ceiling makes a clicking sound on the medium setting, so we usually keep it on high or low. You get used to the noise of the machinery from the other units nearby. It’s just the sound of people getting things done. Sipcot is a big area, so being on Kannyakoil Street gives us a specific corner to call our own. We aren't trying to impress anyone with the decor. We just come in, get through the day's shipments, and lock up the gate when we are finished.
