Elenem Contracting is based out here in Cuddalore, specifically near Cauvery Nagarkondur Post. We’ve got our spot at number 74. It’s a quiet enough area most of the time, which is good for focusing on the contracting work we handle. We spend a lot of time traveling between the office and different project sites around the district. Being in a place like Cuddalore means you deal with the humidity and the coastal air, which affects how we plan our outdoor tasks. We aren't the type to wear suits and ties; usually, it’s just sturdy boots and clothes that can get a bit dirty. The team is small but we’ve known each other for long enough that we don't need to talk much to know what needs doing. Sometimes supplies are late or a client changes their mind at the last second, and we just have to adjust. That’s just contracting for you. We keep our records in the office and try to stay on top of the local regulations and paperwork. It’s practical work. No one here is looking for awards or fancy praise. We just want to make sure the walls are straight and the materials used are solid. When the day is over, we lock up the gate and go home, simple as that. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy enough throughout the whole year.
