You can find us at No. 3 in Counsilor Sundaram Nagar, over in the Semmandalam area. It’s a quiet enough spot compared to the main market roads. We’ve been operating out of this building for a good while. Most of what we do is trading basic goods that people in the neighborhood or nearby shops need. The storeroom stays pretty full, so there isn’t much space to walk around once a new shipment comes in. We don’t have a website or any of that, we just talk to people face to face. My uncle started this and now I help run it along with a couple of others. We get deliveries early in the morning and then spend the rest of the day sorting things out. The shelves are wooden and look a bit worn, but they hold the weight just fine. People know us in Semmandalam because we’ve been here so long. We aren't trying to be the biggest company around. We just want to make sure the orders are right and the inventory matches what we have on the books. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back. It’s a simple life. We keep a ledger for the regular customers who pay at the end of the month. It's all very local. If you need something, you just come by and we see if it's in the back. That's just how we do things here.
