Balamurugan Store

Balamurugan Store is located at number 87, near Ramakirushana in Chidambaram. This is a very old and traditional area. Our store is a local fixture, and we’ve been here for many years. It’s not a big supermarket; it’s a small, packed shop where you can find almost anything if you look hard enough. We know almost everyone who walks through the door. Chidambaram is a place where traditions matter, and we like being part of that. The store smells like the various goods we carry, from spices to household items. We don't have a computer system to ring things up. We just use a paper bill book and a calculator. It’s how we’ve always done it. The floor is made of smooth stone that’s been worn down by years of people walking on it. We open the shutters early in the morning when the air is still cool. Sometimes we have a little bench outside where people can sit and talk for a bit. We don't do any advertising. People just know we are here near Ramakirushana. It’s a simple way to run a business, and it suits us just fine. We don't want to be anything other than a reliable local store. Every day is pretty much the same, and we find a lot of comfort in that routine.
